JENNIFER JONES DIES: Five-time Oscar nominee Jennifer Jones, who won in 1943 as Best Actress for The Song of Bernadette, died Thursday at the age of 90. Her other notable films include Duel in the Sun, Love is a Many-Splendored Thing, A Farewell to Arms, and Madame Bovary.

ROY DISNEY DIES
: Roy E. Disney, the nephew of Walt Disney, has died at the age of 79 after a yearlong bout with stomach cancer. Disney was most known for leading a successful campaign in 1984 to oust Walt Disney's son-in-law after concluding he was leading the company in the wrong direction. Roy Disney took over the animation department and helped usher in the company's glory era in the 1990s. He was at the forefront again nearly 20 years later in ousting Michael Eisner as CEO.

TV TIDBITS: The Beautiful Life, the Ashton Kutcher-produced CW drama that was the first show to be yanked from the fall schedule, will air all its produced episodes--three of which were unaired--on YouTube.com starting today.

MOVIE TIDBITS: Rene Russo has been cast as Frigga, the mother of Thor, in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming film. Chris Hemsworth plays the title character... Disney has scrapped plans to make a sequel to Wild Hogs ... 63 songs have been announced on the shortlist to compete for the Best Original Song Oscar. These include five songs from Hannah Montana: The Movie, and four from The Princess and the Frog.
