Today's Soupe du Jour: PaperPot

Charles And Marie

PaperPot

We just love days like today: A) We have a brand spanking new product, B) It’s a super smart product, C) It’s so gorgeous that it received a Good Design award. What are we talking about? The lovely Paper Pot by the Ai Collection in Japan.

But let’s take it step by step.

If you have a Kleenex box at home and don’t like the look of it, then this is perfect for you. Whether you have a square box or a rectangular box, it doesn’t matter – just take out the tissue, take off the lid of the PaperPot and stick the top tissue through the opening, replace the lid. Done.

Don’t have a Kleenex box but want a Kleenex? Well, you could always use toilet paper, that’s equally soft, but pretty ugly to look at. Now here’s the beauty of the PaperPot, insert the spindle, slide you toilet paper in there and replace the lid. Done.

Now that’s what we call nifty. But it gets even better:

4 fantastic super high gloss colors and one soft touch matt black made it very, very difficult for us to find our fave, but then we started mixing and matching and realized that the colors are perfect for just that. Whether you take the pink and the blue or the green and the blue, that just looks fabulous, or the soft black with the gloss white, just as fantastic, so all around a great product.

Just one more bit of info and that's concerning the size, the overall height is 19 cm or 7.5" and the diameter is 16,5 cm or 6.5".

This certainly deserves the Good Design award!
