Solar Birdhouse
Whilst we're all about eco friendly and green, the products in this category generally apply to humans, right? Wrong! Our friends at Studio Oooms in the Netherlands have designed a Solar Birdhouse, and the idea is so lovely that we couldn't help but add it to our collection!
It's an easy concept: During the day the sunlight feeds the solar panel which is attached to the roof – where else would it go – which then charges a small rechargeable battery inside the condo. Come dusk, the little translucent rod will light up and casts a subtle glow - think of it as landing lights on an airport – attracting all kinds of small flying friends, making it a free for all for the lil bird living in the house. A nighttime snack is just perfect…
Made out of Meranti Wood, the Solar Birdhouse is 7.1" x 3.5" x 3.5" or 18 x 9 x 9 cm, so plenty of room for you lil flying friends.
